Don't Be Afraid To Know Where You Stand.

I know sometimes a lot of people try to avoid the question "Where is this heading?" "What are we doing?" so they don't start something that might not end well but I think it's better to ask and get burnt sooner than later.. I think there's a point you get to where it's very important as a woman to know where you stand because men have more time than we do.

I hear people say all the time, “I’m just going to let the relationship take me wherever and if it’s meant to be...it will be.”  Hmm…that’s one way to look at it; here’s another.

‘Think of it this way...when you go to the airport, do you blindly jump on any plane in hopes that it will take you where you want to go?  No...you don’t.  Even though in the beginning,  they all appear to be going in your direction.  They take off and land just like any other plane.  You won’t realize you were on the wrong plane until you’ve landed in the wrong city and by then it’s too late.

'Now, I know some will say “Yes, but you can’t control love” and I agree... but would you not also agree that you can’t control that plane either.  What you can control is you.  When you get to the airport, you pay attention to the signs so that you don’t waste hours of your life on the wrong plane just to end up in the wrong place and have to start all over.

'The same goes for your relationship.  You should have a clear understanding of what you want and need and where you are trying to go.  Then, you should pay close attention to the signs.  If it appears that he is headed in a direction that is not where you want to go and he’s not willing to change course, get out before you waste years of your life just to wake up one morning and realize you’ve landed in the wrong place with the wrong man.’
